Phil Angel, MSc, MA
Registered Psychotherapy (Qualifying)
I know that starting this therapy can feel intimidating. Finding the right therapist for you is one of the most important steps in the process. Here, I’d like to give you a sense of who I am and how I approach my work.
I am a therapist who values honesty, warmth, and a bit of humor. I offer a compassionate space where you can speak freely and be yourself. And alongside a warm environment, I have a sincere curiosity about who you are as a person. A significant part of my style is a collaborative exploration of your life experiences, with the goal of finding insight and understanding. I strive to be a dedicated partner in your progress, keeping the conversation real and approachable. It’s also important to share that prior to psychotherapy, I earned bachelors and masters degrees in biology. This is an important lens that I bring to my work, because working with our own human physiology can complement therapy in powerful ways.
My approach focuses on the deeper questions that often sit beneath daily stress or a persistent feeling of being stuck. We look at your life through a lens of meaning and authenticity to understand the roots of your experience. This isn’t about following a rigid script; it’s about understanding who you are and focusing on what most matters to you. I combine an outside perspective with genuine empathy to help you navigate major life transitions or internal unease.
In our work together, you can expect a therapeutic relationship built on mutual trust and practical insights. We move at a pace that makes sense for you, ensuring you feel supported while building the resilience needed for life’s inevitable challenges. You will gain a clearer understanding of your experiences and the tools to live a more fulfilling life. I am committed to helping you achieve lasting change that feels true to your experience. You deserve a therapist who is as invested in your well-being and growth as you are.
